My favorite meal of the day, I get so excited to go to sleep every evening just so that I can wake up and have breakfast! 

Porridge

For us Londoners this is a staple in our morning diets as we all know cold, wet and dark mornings are made better by a steaming hot bowl of oaty goodness. Pictured this time I have Organic rolled oats, Coconut Milk, Flaxseed and a heap of Almond butter to fuel my day!

Eggs

Poached eggs on toast are my absolute weekend favourite - time to relax, put your feet up and read a good book kind of weekend!

Acai Smoothie Bowl 

Until recently I was a acai bowl skeptic, simply I didn't get the hype about eating a smoothie out of a bowl when I can quite happily drink it from a funky glass mug... although I have never been to Brazil or Hawaii where these types of brunches have been a staple in their diets for years and us fitness fanatics have just caught onto.

I like to think I bring a little  semitropical to my morning every time I eat one! A few recipes below:

Frozen Strawberries, Avocado, Almond Milk, Acai, Flax seed. Topped with desiccated coconut, strawberries and blanched almonds!

Good old fashioned Toast

I use toast as a brunch snack, evening snack, any time of day snack! Multi seeded bread and wholemeal bagels are the winners for me I like to alternate toppings dependent if i'm in a sweet or savory mood (normally it's sweet!) Few topping ideas below:

Marmite

Almond butter with or without chopped bananas 

Peanut butter and organic raspberry jam 

Tea

As you can see from a lot of pictures tea is featured - for all those UK readers of this post you'll understand why. It is a staple in our upbringing that you are introduced to as a way of life - TEA IS EVERYTHING! I find Tea is the cure for anything in life - having a gossip with friends, after you've had a tough day, relaxing... it has so many uses! And not to mention it's a great excuse to buy the most amazing tea mugs.
